amixon® moves closer to the Sustainable Development Goals

amixon® is working in a variety of ways towards the goal of avoiding CO2 emissions and conserving resources. In 2015, the international community adopted the 2030 Agenda, setting out 17 global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for socially, economically and environmentally sustainable development.

amixon® is working on the preliminary stage of EU-compliant corporate environmental management. In the medium term, amixon® is also aiming for EMAS validation. This will take place in accordance with Article 45 of Regulation (EC) No. 1221/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council.

The term amixon®

in this blog post stands for the cooperating companies Ruberg-Mischtechnik GmbH & Co. KG, amixon GmbH and Clever-Cut GmbH. Since 2023, amixon® has been a participant in the ÖKOPROFIT project in the Paderborn district. The aim of the project is to fulfil the requirements of the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS). amixon® is becoming more climate-friendly: in June 2024, we were awarded the ÖKOPROFIT® certificate.

ÖKOPROFIT®

In June 2024, amixon® was awarded the ÖKOPROFIT® certificate by the district of Paderborn. The acronym stands for "Ecological Project for Integrated Environmental Technology", a campaign sponsored by the NRW Ministry of the Environment for corporate environmental protection. From 24 July 2023, ÖKOPROFIT will be officially recognised at European level as a preliminary stage to EMAS.

SDG: Sustainable Development Goals

amixon® has identified the most relevant SDGs for itself in an extensive process. A sustainability check based on the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) was carried out under external moderation (CheckN). This provided us with a basis and perspective on how we can contribute to achieving the globally applicable SDGs. amixon® is in a lively process of continuously planning and implementing sustainability measures.

The EU is forcing industry and business to get involved in sustainability reporting in the EU. amixon® has also embarked on this journey. More and more sustainability issues are becoming irreversibly anchored in the core business. SDGs and DNK are already interlinked in many areas.
